Wise sayings...

 Lucy.

Meko.

Today's blog entry was inspired by one of my favorite authors Neil Gaiman. For those of you who aren't familiar with Neil's blog, lately he's been posting adorable snow pictures of his dogs Cabal and Lola. It was easy today to take similar pictures of our family dogs Meko and Lucy, because of the blizzard that hit the Hampton Roads area.

It's hard to believe that during our last major snow storm Lucy (aka Tokyo) was just a puppy, and now look at her!. She and Meko played outside all day long and rarely wished to return to the warmth and comfort of the house. Huskies are amazing to behold in the snow simply because of their animal instincts and their beautiful coat.

So though I occasionally complain about the snow and how much of a pain in the ass it is, it is a rare treat especially on Christmas night, to behold the beauty of your four legged love ones in their natural habitat.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Christmas night, though cheesy as it may sound, our family enjoyed a wonderful meal at a local Chinese restaurant in Virginia Beach. I think my favorite part of the evening was when we all read our out loud our fortunes from our fortune cookies.

"Wise sayings often fall on barren ground, but a kind word is never thrown away."
What a beautiful saying. That being said, I love my family.

Gracias a la vida.
